I didn't like Tennant too much last season either although I blame that on Billie Piper hogging the screen and not giving him a chance to shine. This season, however, he's been awesome and exterminations to anyone who says otherwise ;-)
Sound of Drums was fantastic. It's one of those episodes where there is so much goodness from so many different areas and it all comes together to make a glorious whole. I'm glad you mentioned Mrs. Saxon because I thought she was the unsung hero of the episode and I hope they expand on her role a little more next episode (I doubt that, however).
And of course there's the slashiness. When you watch Utopia expect plenty of lines at Captain Jack's expense and I'm glad the Doctor/Master slashiness was played up.

Blink is possibly the best single episode since Doctor Who returned.
