Misunderstood heroes, prone to doing things that are wrong or stupid
For me, personally, I LOVE that, but I also LOVELOVELOVE the extention of that, which is hero misunderstood and blamed and doing bad things for a good reason, and everybody's all >:O!!! And then hero is vindicated at the end. I am far too fond of vindication.
