Thank you. That means so much since you're a Simon girl and he's all shiny and new to me.
>>You are awesome for writing TNA fic, even more awesome for writing genfic, and spectacularly awesome for writing specific canon. WHOO! But yeah, you know, I like this.<<
Thank you. (blushes)
>>It's a prime example of the opportunities we as fic writers miss when we bypass gen as a genre.<<
I've always said I'm a corrupted gen writer, and I stick to the way wrestling is as my excuse. I mean, half naked men rolling all over each other, we don't need much subtext ;) Seriously, I think wrestling is one of those fandoms were it's easier to write slash than het and gen (see also a lot of 60s and 70s shows where there's two main male characters and lots of girls who barely last a week) because the only people we ever see them make contact with are other men who they have really passionate anger or friendship with.
>>Even though I'd rather forget about that whole feud, since it was so spectacularly retarded,<<
Discussing that, how did it end? It's just it was Siaki and Diamond vs NYC when I left for uni and Diamond and Johnny B. Badd v NYC at Turning Point and I didn't know if it was same feud, different partner, or whether NYC had done yet more to annoy Diamond.
>>I liked that you went into the meaning. Like, for Siaki and his heritage. Simon and Siaki talking about stereotypes. "Spears all round then" got me laughing out loud.<<
Thanks. I don't know why but when I saw Siaki like that I just flashed back to the Millenium celebrations in the Pacific and how it was all very much a part of some greater ritual, and I've always wondered whether Disco et al got that. That and Diamond was about one step away from the fighting Irish gimmick ;)
>>May I archive this?<<
Yes, can I just check it through again before I submit it, just in case I have made any huge howlers like not putting the word 'that' in where it is supposed to go. I'd been drinking last night so I'm a bit paranoid at mistakes.
