It is four o'clock pm and I have been up for 11 hours already. I also have a stinking cold that seems to have gone into the aches and fever stage. Therefore I am taking the rest of the day off dead, like Hotblack Destasio.

So I will therefore spam you poor unfortunates who are on my friends list with random things that I've been meaning to post.

So first

Scissor Sisters rule all, great performance of 'Take Your Mama Out'.
How Robbie Williams and Angels won the best song in the past 25 years I'll never know. It was like the second worst of the bunch.

Franz Ferdinand. Eeep. What conection they have to Germany is unknown to me. I sense research mode since Franz was Austrian but since they can do all their songs in German I presume a family connection. (Sorry for the tangent but have I pointed out how pissed off I and the Germans I know get about people confusing the two.)

Good choice of Razorlight as the music for Jo Wiley's entrance. Still angry that they weren't nominated for anything.

Radio 1 listeners need to be shot for choosing Keane as best new act.

Brian May presenting best Rock Band - Kerrang viewers have better taste but that doesn't surprise me. Franz win. Loved how happy Snow Patrol were for them. (Snow Patrol/Franz are so my band OTP, they really seem to genuinely love each other). And Franz look so happy.

Beddingfield duet "Ain't Nobody" by Anita Baker, damn good version arranged by David Arnold so it would be good. (Have I said how much I love his arrangements of the Bond themes?)

Best New International Band - Oh hard category to decide since I like all five of Scissor Sisters, Kanye West, Maroon 5, Jet and the Killers - Scissor Sisters won. (Okay that 5 people you would do without thinking about it thing that was going round, Scissor Sisters lead singer is one of them.)

The Streets doing Dry Your Eyes - bliss. His sidekick who sang the accapella high note at the end - especial bliss. Heart meltingly so.

Best Brit Live act - presented by Shirley Manson - One from Muse, Jamie Cullum, Kasabian, Libertines, Franz. Ouch, painful decision time, since they're all good live. Muse win. Fair and just winners since, even though they're not my favourites, they are awesome live. Nice speech from them too.

Green Day doing American Idiot. Am so happy! Bass is amped up to like 15. Love. Love.

Best Brit Single - Your Game by Will Young. Can live with that. I don't like it but it's better than what it could have been.

Best Pop - Jodie Kidd presenting. Much love for her as she rocks and is a girl racer. McFly win. Less love, but can live with it.

Joss Stone won best British female.

Best International female - Kelis, Gwen Stefani, Kylie, Anastacia, Alicia Keys - Gwen won. Can live with that but I love them all.

Best International male - Usher, Brian Wilson, Kanye West, Eminem, Tom Waits - who let the quirky chose the noms? Much joy that Tom Waits and Brain Wilson were nominated. Win for Eminem. (Damn, but not damn at the same time 'cause I like Eminem, but how cool would it have been if Brian Wilson or Tom Waits had won.)

Robbie doing Angel, but with Joss Stone (i.e. someone who can sing.) This is good.

Best Male - Streets won. Which I can live with, he's the only one that can compete with Morrisey.

Best New Band - Keane - if you like Coldplay, you should like them.

Best Brit female - Joss Stone, Natasha Beddingfield, Jamelia, PJ Harvey, Amy Winehouse - Damn Joss Stone won. Not that I don't like her, it's just I like the rest more.

Jamelia and Lemar dueting on "Addicted to Love". If I find pictures I will post because Jamelia is hot.

Urban music award - i.e. lets ghettoise soul, rap, r'n'b and hiphop under one flag, because black artists never won anything before, and then give it to white musicians for the first two years - Streets, Joss Stone, Jamelia, Dizzie Rascal, Lemar - Joss Stone wins. Urban?! She's from Devon, she couldn't be more rural if she tried. (Sorry it's a stupid name for a category.)

Bernard Sumner and Peter Hook are presenting Best International Group, much love for them - U2, Maroon 5, Green Day, Scissor Sisters, Outkast - Scissor Sisters (damn, much though I love them, damn) Loved Ana's speech though, full of bile anger and na-na-na-na.

Gwen doing 'What You Waiting For'. Fun.

Best Brit group - Franz, Keane, Snow Patrol, Kasabian, Muse - Well there's only one I don't like and that's Keane so the odds are in my favour. Franz Ferdinand won. (Keane look on with dislike, Snow Patrol once again lead the cheerleaders, their album is therefore on the 'to buy' list.)

Souxie Soux presenting Best Int Album - she's hot - U2, Maroon 5, The Killers, Scissor sisters, Outkat - Sissor Sisters win.

Snoop Dogg and Pharell doing Drop it Like Its Hot (well kind of) - Snoop Dogg (possibly actually called What's My Name) then Drop It Like Its Hot.

Clive Owen presenting Best Brit Album, looking like he'd rather be anywhere but here. Franz, Keane, Snow Patrol, the Streets, Muse - once again, only one I don't like.
Fuck, shit, blast, fuck, damn.
In case you hadn't guessed Keane won and I despise them. This is actually because it sold the most, not because it's the best. Franz were apparently not happy, yet mysteriously I'm not holding that against them. I'm horribly biased ;)

Lifetime Achievement award to Bob Geldof which again is cool.

Mostly either cool shiny, or damn and blast.
