In which I disrecommend a diet
Mar. 10th, 2018 06:26 pm(tw: diets) (Don't worry, I wasn't the one of the diet)
I am live and let live on the topic of what people do with their bodies. I do enough stupid things that I have no room to talk.
On the other hand, friends don't let friends do diets that nearly caused another friend to faint at work.
C at work started the diet in Chloe Madeley (Richard and Judy's daughter) book. There were pre-misgivings on C's part anyway, because the book makes it quite clear the Chloe Madeley does not have a job beyond doing fitness, while C has herself and a kid and a partner to sort out every day before she even starts work. (The partner was also doing the diet.)
It's one of these low carb, low sugar nonsenses.
During day 2, C started to feel actively unwell. Apparently, she went an interesting shade of pale and started to wobble, so L made her sit down while she found some full sugar Coke to force down her.
Yeah, the diet got cancelled after that.
I don't know if the Madeley low-carb is particularly harsh, or what. On the other hand, C has none of the medical whatsits that make those diets a really bad idea so I think I'd give this particular diet a miss.
