She isn't brilliant or brainy. But she's brave, loyal and determined. And kind. Which is normally how she saves the day, which she does, repeatedly.
I like that she tries to help to people whenever she can and is cheerful and enthusiastic.
Also, it turns out being a trained escapologist can come in handy when you're the Doctor's assistant.
