Writer's Block Wierdness
Is anyone else getting a different question after they log in? When I look at the home page it's a question about desert islands, but when I log in, it's yesterday's about terrible jobs.

As this is blatently impossible to answer I am skipping the question. Tomorrow's, the quotes one, may also take some time.

In place of an actual meme answer, you get some music.
Every now and again, Kerrang put out a CD that is various modern (or at least still playing) acts covering the work of a great rock band. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. These tracks are from 'Maiden Heaven', an Iron Maiden tribute. It's one of the ones where it doesn't quite work. I'm not a big Maiden fan, but I'll be the first to say they have something. The problem is that it's something quite specific, that none of these bands have, and they've all tried to do straight covers so it doesn't work.
The one that gets nearest to working is Dream Theatre's version of To Tame A Land - http://www.box.net/shared/u39tk86d07
I quite like Black Tide's version of Prowler too - http://www.box.net/shared/q10l2dd5ap
However, the less said about Sign's version of Run To The Hills - http://www.box.net/shared/lxhz3sf5he or Ghostlines's Brave New World - http://www.box.net/shared/yec2d6vppx the better.
