I'm no longer dying of the 'flu
Feb. 15th, 2007 11:31 pmThis year's edition of the 'flu bug is pretty nasty. Not as bad as the '97 one, I don't think, mostly because it's over more quickly, but still pretty bad. Managed to break the fever quickly, which I'm proud of my immune system for doing, and unreasonably pleased that my brain helped.
I was unreasonably shivery, so I decided to go all out in being warm in bed, so I went to bed in socks, pyjamas, dressing gown and gloves. And then pulled the blanket over my head. It was far too hot even for shivery me, but I figured I could stand it better than the bugs could. And I did. At about 3 am the fever broke and it was like waking up a new person. I mean, I'm still ill, the sheer amount of tissues I'm going through will attest to that, but I'm a lot better than I was.
