Jul. 23rd, 2006 03:47 pmNan's birthday meal was a blast, because, since Colin wasn't there, we could do the family thing where we're totally incomprehensible to outsiders, and because we went to the best Chinese restaurant ever (with due disclaimers for bias).
Also found my Withnail and I DVD, to go along with Sin City. Finally I have entertainment. We also ended up going into a bookshop as we were driving back and well, I now have 2 more books to read and have Mum's b-day or Christmas sorted.
Watched some wrestling, rather oddly, the Williams v Style X-division match at Genesis then the 4 Live Kru v Team Canada match, Team 3D v AMW and Styles v Samoa Joe at Turning Point.
Odd combo I know.
I still love AJ's promo before his match v Petey Williams about how Samoa Joe disrespected the division by beating up Daniels after the bell, because it totally got over the importance of the division, how the unwritten rules are important and how evil Samoa Joe was, because AJ would have done it for whoever it was, because, damn it, he was doing it for Daniels who he dislikes.
AJ v Samoa Joe was a damn good match.
Team 3D v AMW put me in an awkward position, because I know I'm supposed to boo AMW, but I was sitting there going, don't hurt them, don't hurt them. I give up.
I also wish to say that Road Dogg and Billy Gunn are sooooo married.
Rhyno v Jarrett and Christian v Monty Brown might also have happened except, well one didn't interest me, and I could guess the result of the other one.
I was going to write something about highspot wrestling, but it'll have to wait, I'm have to jump between 20 minute internet machines and my feet are starting to hurt.
