Am both a graduate of the University of Leicester and a survivor of the Grad Ball (9 hour event, if you can still stand at the end you're a survivor.)

Was remarkably un-misty eyed about people leave, possibly because I'm not going and possibly because it is time for people to move on. I'm kind of odd that way, I cry at films and sport but not at real life.

More photos and comments at some later stage when I'm not standing at a 20 minute internet terminal.

Well no photos, but comments.

The Graduation Ceremony went well, I didn't fall over, although my Grandmother expected this to happen because I was wearing ridiculously long trousers - her opinion, not mine. They're a smidge too long, but that's how I wear my trousers. Grown-ups mostly behaved, I said goodbye to my friends, and was actually more cut up about that than at the end of the ball, mostly because I fear I'm turning into a biologist rather than a random student.

Grad ball was actually kind of boring but it was nice to be able to dance my last undergrad dance with the now ex-housemates.

Next year, if I can avoid the Scilla and Charybdis that I presently find myself between should be okay. It's just the avoiding that could be difficult, although the two parties involved look like they're cancelling each other out, leaving me free to win.

Can't really complain about the sentence handed down to Juve, Serie B is better than Serie C, and okay, with the 30 point deduction we're stuck there for two seasons, but, you know, it's still better than Serie C. And Juve will be back, because they have a good new manager (and trust me, the moment I find the long and adoring post I made about Deschamps a couple of years ago I'll link to it - found it http://redfiona99.livejournal.com/92902.html?mode=reply) and the Old Lady is just too good not to get back into Serie A.

Sky were using some of the home-coming scenes to illustrate something, not sure what, I was watching without sound, and the look on Pirlo's face as they came off the plane was worth a million pounds, it was a really, 'argh bright flashing lights, why are there bright flashing lights?' kind of look.
