I'm in love with 'Walk Away' by Franz Ferdinand, most particularly the line 'I love the sound of you as you walk away', it's the way it plays with the usual lines.
In general response to the 'Broccoli test' I live with the knowledge that none of my OTPs would pass it.
Benoit and Jericho - Well, after Jericho gets the signal all tangled up and buys something hideously unhealthy and Benoit then has to go back to get some broccoli, Jericho's all like 'why do you want broccoli?' and Benoit's because it's good for you and there might well be a minor falling out because god knows, these two, in my head, are constantly falling out. Then, because Jericho feels a mite guilty and wants to apologise, he buys a whole broccoli and presents it as a bouquet to Benoit who is amused, and quietly and never-ever going to admittedly touched.
Gambit and Rogue - Actually that's not fair, they'd be able to buy the broccoli, they'd just have a row over how to cook it.
Ivanova and Marcus Cole - actually okay, so I'm certain that these two could both purchase and cook the broccoli but the misunderstandings that could follow, oh they would be bad.
And I think that's why I like them, there isn't that total understanding, they have to feel each other out and there's always a need for more delicacy (or in one case less) than shown.
On the fic front - the Remnants fic is nearly finished so I'll start begging for a beta reader soon, and I've finally managed to make a less wishy-washy tie to my prompt.
The first of my 50 Kinky Ways fics is nearly done. Woo hoo.
