Update, icons and a poll
Jan. 15th, 2006 03:16 pmGrowed ups are driving me mad, and have unfortunately left me with a bottle of Smirnoff vodka that I'm manfully (womanfully) resisting.
Enjoying watching the darts. I'm also in the middle of making more icons. Whoever said they were addictive was right. Still can't get a decent Jack Harkness one together though.
I don't know how many of you follow English politics, but the Liberal Democrats are having a leadership election because Charles Kennedy was forced to resign for various reasons. As has previously been noted in this journal, Charlie is my darling. This being said one of the challengers for the leadership, Simon Hughes, happens to be my favourite politician. Therefore I shall be cheering for him. Mainly because much like me he's a liberal leftie. And because he's an incredibly cool dude.
There shall probably be comments about this floating about on here. I know there's a couple of people on my f-list who I've filtered off on political posts, but is there anyone that wants to be filtered off for this? I ask only since the fight looks like it's going to get dirty since so far the candidates are:
Sir Menzies Campbell, pronounced Ming-is Campbell for reasons for reasons of letters that vanished with the advent of the printing press AKA Ming the Merciless, acting leader of the Lib Dems and the main force behind getting rid of Charlie. His supporters are known as Mingers.
Mark Oaten - on the right of the party (Lib Dems are a centrist party). Sworn enemy of Simon Hughes. Supported by Lembit Opik, an odd chap, even for an MP, who rather sensibly wants an oncoming asteroid early warning detection mechanism.
Simon Hughes - on the left of the party. I adore him. Is the sworn enemy of Mark Oaten. Telegraph has already started to smear him, he must be doing something right.
And someone else, obscure even for the Lib Dems who I've never heard of.
All camps have asked that the fight be political not personal and they want no muck-raking and slinging. Fat chance!
Also, since I'm talking about politicians, I was very sorry to hear about Tony Banks dying. There's not enough politicians who speak their mind and recently they seem to be dying off.
I've made another couple of icons

[Poll #652712]
Also, seriously love my friends, for they know that I require alcohol without being told and have invited me out for drinks.
