Just a few ramblings
Apr. 19th, 2005 01:00 pm- I hate microbiology write-ups with the passion of a thousand blazing suns.
- is Bittorrent playing up for anyone else or am I doing something wrong again?
- Snooker is fun. It's actually tense and fun and several players are adorable. Paul Hunter has been diagnosed with colon cancer and has got a dispensation from his doctors to play in the World Championships and has been getting standing ovations from everyone, including the players. Good luck Paul.
Jimmy White v Fergal O'Brian is one of those unfortunate matches where two players everyone likes face each other. Jimmy managed to get Fergal into an evil snooker, and Fergal missed the object ball about 9 times. By the time he hit it the crowd cheered, he cheered and Jimmy cheered. But that's the nice kind of person Jimmy is. For all that I wasn't cheering for Jimmy in his finals against Stephen Hendry, since Hendry is my favourite, I would love to see him finally win the world championship. (For those that don't know he's been in 6 finals and not won a single one. This includes two 17-18 losses.)
Chris Small is the only one of my favourites who's out so far, but this is no major surprise as he hasn't won a match all year. Poor boy, this could be because he can barely bend over to hit his shots because of degenerative spinal condition.
The other favourite of mine that's played so far, Anthony Hamilton, won, which is good.
Ken Docherty is in the middle of his match and I think Stephen Hendry starts later today.
