Mainly gymnastics
Aug. 17th, 2004 12:22 amFirst things first - I hope Peter Van Der Hoogenband wins something because he is such a good sport.
It is also one of my larger wishes that Urzika wins gold for the pommel horse when the individuals rolls round. If ever I have cheered for a national team to win just for one guy then that's it.
The whole household thinks that they underscored the Japanese. Nan was most voluble on the subject.
Jason Gatson on the parallel bars is something else.
Alexi Nemov is great. If only the rest of the Russians would live up to him. If only the Russians could string 2 decent performances together.
Haven't seen the men's foil but doubt that there was any decorum there either.

On more personal news, the rash keeps reappearing. Mum thinks it's hives/nettle rash, Nan and Colin think its an allergy to something. Colin seems to think the answer is icepacks, although the only thing accomplished with them so far is that I've done something interesting to my back.
All I want is the itching to stop. Got to get some anti-histamines tomorrow.
