Apr. 11th, 2004 12:04 amOnce again my SD notes are non-existant except for yay Eddie, yay Rene and ( this is a spoiler )
Other than that I caught the tail end of a Dolly Parton documentary and am once again in love. It's her voice and the general air of sincerity. I mean I'm hopelessly fond of country (country music and wrestling, yee haw I'm an English Redneck) precisely because it is a mutant version of folk, an aspect they played up.
Plus, and this is just the ultimate cherry on top, I finally got to hear some of her version of "I Will Always Love You". Which I think I prefer.
Now to resist the urge to buy albums. Not that I couldn't play them at uni because luckily I have another folkie downstairs. He listens to the Pogue, the Dubliners, what sounded like Capercalie or something like that and Johnny Cash, if that doesn't make him a folkie I don't know what does.
