Jun. 21st, 2003 08:12 pmSaw Top of the Pops. Discovered that bouncing up and down on wooden floorboards, however well carpetted they are is a bad idea. I swear I'm going to go through the floor one of these days.
Re:covered was its usual odd, quirky self. Craig David doing bad Beatles covers and Turin Brakes (a band that make Coldplay sound metal they're that quiet) doing an ACDC cover.
INME were also on. Now sadly they are 'wah, we want to be a grunge band' whiners of the first order. And I'm not that fond of them, but boy is their bass player good looking.

Sadly, they are old photos so he is without the face-fuzz that really does add about 5 points to his 'ooh, he cute' tally.
Then The Thrills (who are okay), Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (who are very, very good) and The Darkness (who quite wonderful) were on Jools. Once again Jools rocks. Of course the Darkness can't just stay on their bit of stage and perform, no, their singer/guitarist went on a rampage, and ended up doing a guitar solo atop Jools Holland's piano.
They really remind me of Andrew WK, not in sound because the two sound really different but in attitude, because they're both fun, happy music.
I wish however that idiot on the Rant list would admit when they're wrong. BTW I reserve the right to edit this post if it turns out that I'm the one that's wrong :)
In contrast to Tamony's entry about an old aquaitance not being in prison, one of mine is about to be residing at her Majesty's pleasure. But really, it's not unexpected.
Should really be doing chemisty revision.
