It's not serious per se, but it is...something. It's not camp (as in the sixties version, not the gay one ;)) or particularly OTT but it has many amusing moments in it (anything to do with Handsome Rob, most of Seth Green's scenes, when Sarah insists on doing something because one of the guys did it but not in an irritating way...is hard to explain without being spoilery).
Have you seen the Ocean's 11 remake? Except for the awful stereotyping of Don Cheadle's character (which TIJ thankfully avoids doing something similar to) it has that kind of a sense of humour and coolness to it.
Oh, and there is a Brit in it. His name's Jason Stratham and I'm in love. Seriously so.
