Impact understands that true romance is coming together as a couple to beat the shit out of the person who's been psychologically manipulating you, then making out in a hotel corridor while a bemused bystander looks on. Also, congrats to Eddie for being like... it seems like the only babyface in wrestling who is allowed to have Sex. (I feel like couples in wrestling are almost always heels or it's the very domestic "Here is Ricky Steamboat and his wife and son" angle) I know everyone is hating on infidelity stories in wrestling right now, but I think this angle did it right - the drama was the "will they or won't they" tension that like... actually makes sense in the wider context of the story - plus Eddie & Ace just had killer in-ring chemistry.

I am SO GOD DAMN READY for Tessa to become champion.

I'm also captivated by the new development in Su's character. Her un-undeadening, I guess? Like Suzie is still clearly Not Normal? I kind of think of it as her being two-sided, where she's either the Doll or the Monster. Which... man, wrestling really gets to explore trauma narratives in some interesting ways, huh?

I just love how Eddie was all - "you can stop hitting him now." only to get "oh no I can't!" in response. Yes Alicia, hit him, harder.

The Suzie thing is getting interestingly weird. I like how Havok is well and truly freaked by it all. Mostly because it's interesting to see Havok being the scared one.

Yeah, it's interesting to see Havok in a more babyface role, or at least a more vulnerable one? I saw her wrestle Taya back in the summer and it was a bit awkward, but she seems to have settled into it. They had a really fun match at No Surrender (though Eddie and Ace stole the show by being fucking crazy. Like, even if you don't have Impact Plus, look up the table spot from that match -- nasty)
