I would like to complain about the legwear for sale in athletic-wear at the minute.
Now, in an ideal world, I would wear jogging bottoms for lifting. Unfortunately, I am five foot three, so if I wear normal people size clothing, bad things happen. Particularly if squatting.
I know leggins would be a solution, but I don't like wearing skintight clothes. It's not a body image thing, it's an I-feel-constricted-and restricted-in-lycra (or all lycra) thing.
So I wear shorts in the gym. Unfortunately my old favourites are, well, old. So I want a second pair. Can I find anything suitable? Can I banjax!
Everything is either a reasonable length but made of skin-tight lycra and friends. If it's not lycra, it's so short that I couldn't even walk without flashing my ass-ets.
So it looks like I will have to resort to my old standby of buying from the juniors section because apparently teenage boys also don't like short-shorts or lycra.
