1) Was 2015 a good year for you?

You know those years where nothing goes wrong, but nothing particularly goes right. I've had one of those.

2) What was your favorite moment of the year?

I have actually had a lot of fun moments. Seeing the pyramids of Teotihuacan. Seeing the Who. P and D getting married.

3) What was your least favorite moment of the year?

A wide variety of work-based disasters spring to mind.

4) Where were you when 2015 began?

Germany.

5) Who were you with?

A variety of the Hamburg lot who had relocated to Bavaria. They've all mostly re-relocated back to Hamburg now ;)

6) Where will you be when 2015 ends? / Where were you when 2015 ended?

I was with the growed ups. Someone just behind the corner shop had some pretty awesome fireworks so I saw some of them, and then went inside for the traditional singing of Auld Lang's Syne, the words of which were as variable as usual.

7) Who will you be with when 2016 ends? / Who were you with when 2016 ended?

Who knows. Various plans are in motion.

8) Did you keep your new years resolution of 2015?

Not well enough but I am getting better at the tidying and note-keeping thing.

9) Do you have a new years resolution for 2016?

Continuing the improvement on the tidying front.

10) Did you fall in love in 2015?

No.

11) If yes, with who?
12) If yes, do they know?
13) Do you regret it?

14) Did you breakup with anyone in 2015?

No.

15) Did you make any new friends in 2015?

I don't think so.

16) Who are your favorite new friends?

N/A

17) What was your favorite month of 2015?

December. I'm not just saying that because I spent the entire thing on holiday. Although that helps ;)

18) Did you travel outside of the US UK in 2015?

Yes, I was in Germany to begin with, then out to Mexico in December.

19) How many different states did you travel to in 2015?

0. I flew over several of them mind you ;)

20) Did you lose anybody close to you in 2015?

Thankfully no.

21) Did you miss anybody in the past year?

The usual fencing peeps and ex-fencing peeps.

22) What was your favorite movie that you saw in 2015?

The Martian. I loved the Martian a lot.

23) What was your favorite song from 2015?

Uptown Funk has to be in with a shout. And yes, I know it's just cobbled together from other songs, but Mark Ronson is a superb cobbler. Also, I've heard it many, many, many times and have yet to get sick of it.

I really like These Are The Nights, or whatever it's really called, by Avicii. But as I've said, he and David Guetta have a direct line to my id.

Cheerleader by OMI was the only song that caused a philosophical debate.

Years and Years's King was good but reminds me screamingly of something, but that something I just cannot place.

Major Lazer struck again with Lean On. Just ignore the video.

See You Again works, but I'm not sure it would work without everything around it.

Bad Blood gets stuck in my head like crazy.

Shut Up and Dance With Me is unholy catchy.

24) What was your favorite record from 2015?

I have bought nothing recent and have mostly just been back-filling my collection.

25) How many concerts did you see in 2015?

Two, Dropkick Murphys again (they're much better when I'm sober, K was right) and the Who! Yes, that Who!

26) Did you have a favorite concert in 2015?

The Who. The weather and the music played equal parts.

27) Did you drink a lot of alcohol in 2015?

No, if we ignore the great Pimms disaster.

28) Did you do a lot of drugs in 2015?

No.

29) How many people did you sleep with in 2015?

0

30) Did you do anything you are ashamed of this year?

Not all that many.

31) What was the worst lie someone told you in 2015?

Some of the boy cousin's have been stunners.

32) Did you treat somebody badly in 2015?

I have tried to be good.

33) Did somebody treat you badly in 2015?

Yes. A certain professor at a certain university who called me in for an interview, which cost x > £50 to travel to, and then didn't have to decency to say 'thanks but no thanks'. Or pay my interview costs. I'm actually more pissed off about the lack of 'no thank you,' but ... argh!

34) How much money did you spend in 2015?

Not as much as I thought I did. I also had a very minor windfall come my way.

35) What was your proudest moment of 2015?

Some of my fencing wasn't bad, and the paper, when it gets published, will have a fantastic impact factor. Or at least a half-decent one.

36) If you could go back in time to any moment of 2015 and change something, what would it be?

Stuff to do with one of the SPR chips at work.

37) What are your plans for 2016?

Get a job. Write up that second paper. Get a bodyweight deadlift.

These are all do-able goals.

12 big fics plus 3 comment_fic ficlets, which is a number I can live with.

My favourite story this year: Print The Legend. I do not care that it is the one with the least hits. It's one of those rare fics where I wrote the story I wanted to write the way I imagined it.

My best story this year: Judging by comments, it's a choice between 'There Is A Back-Up, But There Is Still A Problem' and 'Three Times Is Either Enemy Action or Cowley'. People seemed to think that I managed to convey suitable "JARVIS feels" in 'There Is A Back-Up ...' (I actually had that mentioned a couple of times in feedback. I have caused feels! Score!). I got lots of feedback for 'Three Times ...', someone wrote a semi-sequel to it and I managed to cause a minor discussion about fic labelling.

Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: I can't complain about the reception for any of them :)

Most fun story: Mission Ready is quite fun.

Most sexy story: I have failed at sexy this year. I promise there is stuff in the pipeline.

Story with single sexiest moment: See above.

Hardest story to write: Both 'Three Times ...' and 'Cupboard Love' were tricky because I got to about 3/4 of the way through and then got completely stuck because I needed ways of finishing them to make them have a point. 'Three Times ...' was easier in that respect when I twigged that I could get round the problem by going 'what would Cowley do in that situation'.

"Holy crap, that's *wrong*, even for you" story: Nothing I've written is all that wrong. That may change :) Although yes, I did resort to bathetic landscapes for 'Wash It Away', but it was deliberate so that's alright (and that's my story and I'm sticking to it).

Story that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: The various parts of Becoming.

Biggest disappointment: House Arrest does quit ping where I want it to ping.

Biggest surprise: The response to 'Three Times ...'. I'm not sure if it's just because the Professionals is such an old fandom that they just like having someone/anyone new writing, even if it's someone just wandering past.

Most unintentionally telling story: None of them are all that telling. The thing with George and Fred's jumper is based on something that my family do, where it's not unheard of that I've not just been wearing dead men's shoes but the full jumper, shirt and trousers.
