Does anyone have the time to do a beta for a Reign of Fire fic (hopefully to be finished in the next couple of days)? It's due to be posted on the 26th of April and I promise that it isn't a huge epic.

Just in case you don't get any better offers, I'm actually off work all next week (and obviously this weekend) and though I haven't beta-read in a while, I'm sure I couldn't be that bad. I also come with the added bonus of having seen Reign of Fire a few times and written fic for it myself, if that actually counts in my favour rather than being the heinous abomination against fanfiction I suspect it is.

But, yes! If you find yourself desperate and aren't looking for an American or something, give me a shout.

Given that it's set pre-film and is Quinn/Creedy flavoured I am totally requiring someone who can make sure I haven't slid into some terrible transatlantic drawl (see the downside of wrestle-fic) in my writing.

And I have no doubt you'll be able to catch those important words I will undoubtedly have missed out, although it should be better than my handwritten stuff where 'withe' becomes a word.

See, Quinn/Creedy is a great pairing, especially when you factor in how much more I like Gerard Butler these days. Possibly because of 300, but it's best not to get into that. But yep, seeing as how I'm almost painfully English (and of the northern variety), I think my US-English-detector's about as functional as it gets. If you still need someone to take a look when you're done, just poke me or something - I'm probably going to be living online from tomorrow night until a week on Sunday, so!

And you should see how my handwritten fic looks sometimes! Words missed out, words just blatantly made up... it's a miracle I write anything at all, really, considering how little sense it makes when I read it back. I think it's catching.
