WIP Meme 2022
LGBTfest fic 1 - "But every time Alex says something about that, then he's told he's an ungrateful brat."
LGBTfest fic 2 - "Alex could have fought out of the hold, it would have hurt him, but if he'd kicked Peter in the shin, he'd have got out of it no problem." Which is stuck in the middle of a sex scene as happens all too frequently.
Blade Runner fic 1 - "For most colonies, the ground they were built on was difficult, and the colonists lead a hard-scrabble life trying to survive on it, but it's healthier than the ground, water and air back on Earth; you could keep animals on the colonies in a way you couldn't really on Earth, not unless you were rich."
Blade Runner fic 2 - "Upstairs, the chief of police was worrying about Tyrell, about his own reelection, about the mysterious Rachel, who was either Tyrell's deeply under-documented niece, or an unregistered replicant loose on Earth."
While I've been thinking it over, a different way of looking at the same idea might become Blade Runner fic 3.
Cleveland was not the promised land - " Judd will take on an apprentice, because if there's one thing they've all learnt it's make sure no one is indispensible. And write everything down. In two places if you can." Fics that have changed out of recognition during the writing, score = 1.
Comment_fic - "They didn't get it, mind you, it turns out Brother Aloyisus could cast a mean sealing spell when he needed to, and Aloyisus's brother, biological I mean, not spiritual, was the Watcher who turned up to investigate." Marginally stuck because the main pairing was never my pairing.
Untitled LGBTfest fic - "The Corsair was still in his second body when the Doctor first knew him, spinning wild yarns that turned out to be true."
Fic which I remain probably not a good enough writer to write - "He takes his pulse at his neck too, justifying yet more avoiding tactics with each beat."
Before the Impossible Planet - “If the Captain thinks its necessary, then its necessary. You’ve got to be prepared.” - Which continues to grow at about one sentence a year.
Eleven 'n' the Master fic, sort of - "He'd love to say he must have had good reason, but he doesn't know that either." What there is is excellent. What there isn't is an ending.
Doctor and River fic, which also lacks an ending - "She could be stark naked (and might well be, one of these days) and they'd treat her every word like strictest gospel."
Stuck McGonagall gen - "At least he stayed mostly in her office, the new Potions Master had threatened to have all paintings removed from the Potions classroom if he hadn't."
Stuck Lupin gen that is not as good as the notes I lost 10 house moves ago - ""Everyone's fine, Moony, 'cept you by the looks of it.""
Come To Poppy - "Right now, everybody needs one." Stuck
Batman:
The fic that I am going to have to fight not to call 'Exit, Persued by Aunts' - "He hadn't noticed the taste of the sedative in the few unavoidable sips of whiskey he'd taken. He had noticed its effects, but the fake bliss of the drugs meant he hadn't cared. *That* had definitely worn off by the time he came to." I just need to get through this awkward conversation with Catwoman.
Chuck:
A Bryce-centric AU - ""You were out. *We* were out. Why would you go back?"" Which has no ending, in something that will become a pattern.
CSI:
Please No Reno Bashing - Delayed lgbtfest fic - "The forum rules did say not to bite the newbies, but scientists tended to be short with people who didn't follow rules they felt to be self-evident, even if social rules often weren't." Stuck.
The Dreamers:
This is going to be a heck of a disclaimer - "'No, no, sir, you have better things to worry about. We will polish the shoes.'" Also stuck
Gundam Wing:
Much delayed lgbtfest fic - He wants to ask Zechs to stay, stay the night at least, that there's nothing to be gained by leaving, but Treize recognised that look on Zechs' face. There was no arguing with him.
Hamlet:
LGBTfest fic - "And if what is was before wasn't good enough?" - Or yes, it's stuck where it was last year.
Heinz Mayo advert fic:
Advert fic - "Artie was trying to play the gracious host, as though he just didn't get that the reason Angelo came over was to help him, not to take up more of his time." - it might need to move into the Never Going To Finish pile, but I'm going to go over it again before I send this because I looked at it at an unfortunate time.
Henry V:
Towards Southampton - "I expected never to see them again." Now there was a twist, because that sentence presaged more contact with French agents.
The Hobbit:
Castle AU - "Bilbo would like to have been a fly on the wall if one day there was a room Gandalf walked into without knowing at least one person." Possibly shaken loose.
Iron Man:
Delayed lgbtfest fic - "'Anyway, what's the point in being Tony Stark if I can't do the things I want to do.'"
Moulin Rouge:
There are no happy endings for people like them - Nini Legsintheair and Narcoleptic Argentine fic - "He warns them of his problem, because, bless them, there's enough of them might think they killed him with their love-making if he didn't." It's about 1 section away from done.
Sherlock:
Avoidance, which involves me finding 3 hours to watch Season 2 again - "Even if Mycroft had lowered himself to actually apologising properly, John wouldn't have accepted the apology (because Mycroft was too clever to make as stupid a mistake as underestimating Moriarty) but it would have been a start."
Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy:
Book-verse fic - "It was hard enough to be something like quiet while trampling along like a three-legged beast, but it was better to keep moving rather than stay still and hope the Germans would miss them, even with the dogs, if they decided to expand their search area." We're almost at the point where I need to check a detail from the book. Now hopefully, I know where the book is.
Twelfth Night:
LGBTfest fic - "After the suggestion, it was a wonder he could keep his mind off the idea for more than five minutes at a time." I would like a couple of hours to sit down and write more of this.
Yes Prime Minister:
Much delayed lgbtfest fic - ""Of course not." Humphrey was smiling his most welcoming smile. "The clergy are practically God's Civil Service, and you know how tenderly we hold our privacy." Bernard thought Humphrey was trying to help."
Delayed lgbtfest fic - "People know, of course, it's a small town, and he's not got the time, or the willpower, to travel further than a couple of hours. He'd rather watch the stars and take his readings."
Perpetually stuck Thor fic - "Foolish but honest, he treated her as a lady of her station and her achievements warranted, and asked for no special kindnesses beyond her friendship." Plus I might bin it for being accidentally depressing after Thor: Love and Thunder.
Yet another stuck Thor fic - "The problem seemed to lie in Loki's head, no medicine on Asgard was able to detect anything physical."
W.H.E.N - the follow up to the other Torchwood/Captain America crossover - "Here would normally be when the other person in the conversation asked when they died, or when someone they cared about died, but Rogers, second time around, he already knew that, or knew what it was when he left the future. It was nice not to be asked." Next comes the long section about the Time Agency.
Delayed lgbtfest fic - "It featured far less kneeling that Owen sometimes suggested." (I do not remember writing the last two paragraphs of this, which is probably a bad sign.)
Delayed PornBattle fic - "Ianto didn’t believe him for a second, well aware when Jack was distracting him with flirting now, but he was willing to go with it."
Swings and Roundabouts - "It was stupid and fun and no-one but some internet marks got hurt." (The famous velour tracksuit incident is about to occur)
Delayed LGBTfest fic - "It's not flirting, it's being friendly, and no-one she hugs ever takes it as being anything else."
Stuck Orton gen - "He could feel Cody's frustrations, but he couldn't understand him."
Untitled Crimson/Morgan fic - "Fuck off, Shelley." - Stuck
Opera's excessively delayed birthday fic - ""Can you imagine it, you, hidden away at my house, where only I can see you."
50 Kinky Ways:
Candlewax - "Which is the kind of recommendation you take note of."
Blindfold - "On her, it's worth it."
Branding - "One of the lessons he knows he should learn from all of this is that he needs to learn to worry about the details."
And various other shorter lgbtfest fics, comment_fics and ladyfest fics (yes I will finish them all, some day)
3 to be moved into never going to finish pile, shaken unstuck = 1 (I will take what I get on that front)
