SWTOR - End of Chapter 3 for Smuggler and Sith Warrior
Like I said, this one was somewhat peculiar because the end of the class story comes way before the end of the planetary storyline for Corellia. Also, I imagine the end mission would have been a lot more fun before they made the game easier.
But I love that your squad gather round you at the end and say things based on your choices - to wit, Akavi disapproves (because she disapproves of everything), Bowdar (who is not so secretly my favourite), Guss and Corso approve, and Risha gives it a year before we're back as out and out smugglers and is going to refit Port Nowhere for me. It's the one that really feels like there's story after it (also Agent but that's because the ending of Agent is literally 'and I will be waiting in the shadows for your call') without being all "rides off into the sunset" (Trooper, Consular and Sith Inquisitor), or just randomly stopping dead in a way which I think was supposed to be "rides off into the sunset" (Sith Warrior).
Okay, I loved everything about this but the very ending.
The build-up and tearing Baras apart in the Council chamber was amazing, everything from "I am no-one's slave" onwards.
I don't get why killing him is an "evil" choice, or rather, logically I do, but you are in the chamber of the Dark Council, surrounded by the strongest Sith in the galaxy. Mercy would be seen as an unforgivable weakness in that situation. It would get you killed, and what's the point of that?
After that, the story finishes quite abruptly. Possibly it could have done with another meeting with the Hands to give a proper feeling of having an ending. Now, it's just Vowran twinkling at you, and you marching off to await orders from the Emperor.
I think I know what they were aiming for, but I wanted a scene where my companions gather round me and congratulate me. We have done well! I am the Emperor's Wrath. I want congratulations! (Um, my character is only slightly power mad.)
I do like that they make it quite clear that Vowran is up to something but absolutely will be on your side through out. Him I like.
