Watched the tape of Friday's Top of the Pops. Apparently the BBC screwed up the sound on the late night showing. Which means they've fucked up the sound on Saint Anger, and even worse, the Gary Numan track. This is bad.

Just watched Mortal Kombat. Surprisingly good. And Rayden and his odd sense of humour. The bad news is that I think I'm starting to harbour a crush on Christopher Lambert.

And they're showing MK2 next week. Which I have already seen and enjoyed, and intend to do so again.

You know what has really got my goat. The idiot presenter of the so-called punk rock show on Radio One was saying how odd it was that Rancid's new album would be put out on a major label. Well guess what the original punk bands the Sex Pistols and the Clash et al were all on major labels. It did not make them an inch less punk, but then again, he probably wouldn't know that because he's the sort of idiot that calls Blink 182 punk rock. They aren't, they're what I call punk-pop. A fine genre in and of itself but not punk rock.

In a similar but less angry vein, I really like the new Bowling For Soup song.

I'm trying to get a friend of mine to write MK slash. I'm voting for pre-dead Scorpion/Sub-Zero.

Yeah, James mentioned something about it. I'm not so sure, it's probably the least slashy film I have ever seen.

Yeah, they kept a lot of it out of the movie. The story behind the video game was much more with the slash

Dude, harbourharbourhabour! Chris Lambert was great in MK1. It's funny, because I remember someone commenting waaaaay back about how 1) All video game-based movies at that point had flopped and sucked majorly (Exhibit A: Super Mario Brothers, the Movie); 2) All Christopher Lambert movies, except Highlander, flops AND sucks. Therefore, logically speaking, a movie which combines a video game concept along with CL should suck beyond the telling of it, except MK proved that two wrongs do indeed make a right.

LOL. Neither video game based films nor Christopher Lambert are *that* bad :) And awww that icon is so sweet.
