How about we do that thing where you give me a show/movie/book/fandom and I'll tell you:
my favorite female character
my favorite male character
my favorite book/season/etc.
my favorite episode (if it's a TV show)
my favorite cast member
my favorite ship
a character I'ddie for put a reasonable amount of effort into defending
a character I just can't sympathize with
a character I grew to love
my anti-OTP

my favorite male character - Hank. ... Wolverine. ... Hank ... (It's not that I don't like several of the others, I just love Hank the most. Just about.)
my favorite book/season/etc - It's still the first one. I hear and understand the complaints about it (mostly about Sabretooth), but I just love it so much.
I will happily accept that other people prefer First Class and Days of Future Past. N thinking Age of Apocalypse is merely part of N's on-going commitment to being wrong. (Writing this, I realise that I have known N for 20 years and this terrifies me slightly. He has been dedicated to being wrong about the X-Men for as long as I have known him.)
my favorite episode (if it's a TV show) - N/A
my favorite cast member - I am not picking and nothing and nobody can make me.
my favorite ship - My favourite X-Men ship is a comics one (I will find whoever it is on the writing team that's a Rogue/Magneto 'shipper and give them a piece of my mind). Other than that, I am pretty much ship and let ship.
I pretty much like all the plausible (and a goodly number of the implausible) ships in this fandom. In no particular order:
Scott/Jean
Wolverine/Jean
Bobby/Rogue
Bobby/Rogue/Pyro
Mystique/Magneto
Mystique/Hank
Mystique/Azazel
Mystique/Angel
Xavier/Magneto
Before spanners were put into them re: relative age of characters in Age of Apocalypse, Beast/Jean and Beast/Storm. The latter is because Halle Berry and Kesley Grammer had hella good chemistry in X3.
a character
I'd die forput a reasonable amount of effort into defending: Do not diss Mystique in my presence. It will end badly ... for you.I have never known anyone be mean about Hank (reasonable complaints about his behaviour, yes, ditto Prof X and Magneto), but that may also end badly for people.
a character I just can't sympathize with: Film-verse Scott Summers. This is not James Marsden's fault, they didn't give him anything to do (glorious "yup that's Wolverine" moment aside). In Age of Apocalypse they give Scott Summer something to do. Unfortunately, he's played by Tye Sheridan. It's not Tye Sheridan's fault that he can't act, but he is the worst thing about Age of Apocalypse.
a character I grew to love: Mystique, I mean, I like comics Mystique, she is frequently the only sensible character (really, you can tell which Brotherhood plans are hers, it's the ones that work) but not this ridiculous level of love.
my anti-OTP: Bobby/Kitty. Or certainly not the way X-3 did it. My exact words were, "Bobby would never, Kitty would never, neither of them would ever." I have never met anyone who thought they worked.
