I really liked the Christmas episode, because Chase doesn't suddenly discover the glorious meaning of Christmas, and yet everyone ends happily.

Also, the almighty Janitor lives :)

Covert Affairs meanwhile might have to end up on the pile titled 'ignore the plot, enjoy the characters', because

Because, yeesh! the plot was bad. Like, I guessed the twist bad. Come on, there was a not-obviously evil Brit, of course he was going to be the bad guy. We'll not go into some of the geopolitical mangling that went on.

That being said, the character bits were good, including the bits with the evil Brit, and the snarking about their respective agencies really worked, even if I know the phone he was waving around is not that good (why yes it would be the same make and model as my alleged phone). Actually, if the evil Brit had been working for anyone but the people he was working for, he would have been fantastically effective.

Then again, I can't dislike a show that gives me this exchange:

Annie Walker: Mingus box set? Headphones? You're not quitting, are you?
Auggie Anderson: Don't get your hopes up. The entire DPD is moving into a brand new, state of the art "welcome to the twenty-first century ten years too late" facility.
Annie Walker: Today? I didn't get the memo.
Auggie Anderson: Well, that's because you weren't here three years ago when they actually did send out a memo saying that we were moving in a week. Got to love bureaucracy.

And then we reach TNA, where they've finally made the main event interesting to me.

Because gah, Bobby Roode being so careful with Storm when he thinks he's injured and that the match is over, but the minute he finds out the match isn't over, it's flip switch heeldom again. Like I've said, the TNA heavyweight title brings madness.

I love that AJ has resumed his natural role of defender of all that is good and true. The joke I make about him being Sting version 2.0 is getting to be disturbingly accurate.
