More TV comments and a meme
In the TV related squeakings yesterday I missed out Atlantis.
The not deadness of Elizabeth Weir made me very, very happy.
And McKay is so the hero once again. Even more so than Sheppard who's trained to be heroic and stuff.
Also I wish to smite Ford. Don't be mean to Dr. Beckett. Also when he was ordering Dr. Beckett about I could help but think that he would never have been able to order McCoy about like that, rank or no rank. (Actually as senior medical officer I would have thought Beckett out-ranked Ford.)
I still don't see why they didn't just call the episode 'Die Hard in Atlantis'. It had Robert Davi in, and the storyline was similar.
Things I also don't get - fans with a hate-on for Teyla and Dr. Weir. Yes, I know Teyla wears skimpy outfits for no good reason, but they aren't much skimpier than Aeryn Sun's and I'd love you to tell Aeryn that she's only there as eye-candy.
And as for Dr. Weir being an ineffectual leader, hello to the fact that she's dealing with the kind of subordinates who are naturally insubordinate - neither McKay or Sheppard deal well with receiving orders.
Also watched some of the old Jason Connery featuring Robin Hood. I'm still not sure if it was okay or abysmal.
