Is being frustrating.

But in a new, and frustrating, way.

Because, okay, they weren't doing much, but they were doing it with their guys. Then suddenly we get Jarrett going 'this is not an invasion' at the start of an invasion angle.

Now, there's a variety of problems with this:

1 - Oh dear God, no, TNA, not another invasion angle. No, really. TNA are the most perpetually invaded company ever.

2 - The GFW guys, with the honourable and perpetual exception of Lei'D Tapa, are the most generic wrestlers you will ever seen. Especially Trevor Lee, who, with his present look, looks like an underfed Bram.

3 - The only TNA guys who have twigged that something about the Jeff Jarrett thing is hinky are the bad guys. TNA, you are making me agree with the bad guys again.

The show started off with Lei'D Tapa vs Awesome Kong. Tapa has improved, and that's interesting to me because she's probably the first wrestler I've seen early enough in their career to see that progression. They've decided to use her height (and her long legs) and given her some mean kicks. And also, she lifted Kong up on her shoulders!!! and the crowd when the good kind of silent.

The match itself went to a count-out which I'm fine with. The only problem is OVW or GFW have given Tapa a manager (because she has Lashley's problem of terrifying but softly voiced) who 1) can't speak for toffee and 2) didn't attack her opponent when there was a melee at the end. Consistency, people, I want it.

Tigre Uno vs Sonjay Dutt was solid, and Dutt was the only GFW guy who had the nous to wrestle as the bad guy, and the crowd booed when he wanted them too and that was good.

Wolves vs Brian Myers 'n' Trevor Lee. Now I feel bad for being mean about Trevor Lee because he wasn't bad in the ring. Brian Myers, who was the other Edge Guy who isn't Zack Ryder, was also good, but needs some sort of makeover. Actually a good match.

Bobby Roode and Spud doing their thing. The minute Roode called Spud 'Spuddy' in a fake-smile tone I was all 'Spud, get out of there.' The crowd were going wild for Spud even if the whole thing ended in the expected violence and the expected result of the violence. Also, awww, Roode, for all that he was pretending not to, missed Aries. Continuity, I like it.

Lashley vs Jessie Godderz was solid, and did what it was supposed to.

Drew Galloway was supposed to be in the King of the Mountain match, but got jumped by some mysterious force and was replaced at the last minute by Robbie E. Which makes me happy, Robbie E. being the chosen replacement I mean because he is probably the most under-rated performer on the TNA roster and is fun.

Anyway, after the evil pile-driver on the steps bump, I suspect the swap was because Drew Galloway's shoulder is still borked.

Anyway, match descended into the expected cluster-cuss, Robbie E. looked a million dollars, Eric Young looked mean and evil. Unexpectedly PJ Black (or Justin Gabriel) won the King of the Mountain title. Which I suspect sets up further hijinks down the road.
