Torchwood
I appear to be the only person who liked the way it wrapped up, mostly because RTD has fallen out of love with the reset button.
Because yeah, how else could it have ended. I'm assuming Jack is going somewhere where there are no humanoid bipeds, and exactly what good would staying have done.
Ms. Spears gained her revenge, brilliantly cleverly.
There were no random deus ex machina.

Don't think me cold, but I'm particularly pleased that they didn't bring Ianto back, and before anyone says anything, I said this last year when they offed my dear, beloved zombie doctor. I like Torchwood because the dead stay dead, people are pleasingly broken, it's gritty and unpleasant and there is no happily ever after. I've been this way for years, my favourite stories as a child were:
1) Peter Pan - unaging boy loves and loses countless girls.
2) The Three Musketeers, which has the saddest ending of anything I've ever read, because even great friendship cannot survive.
3) Robin Hood, who dies, poisoned by an abbess.
4) Kidnapped, where our hero's hero sails off to support what we know, and he knows, to be a losing cause.
And to that an interest in Greek and Norse mythology and it's amazing I like happy endings at all.
The only thing that pleased me more was no Doctor cameo.
I live in hope for season 4.

wow this got long, im sorry.
AND Yes to the no doctor. I would have been pissed off if he was to be there. This is torchwood, not The doctor show with Torchwood friends. Hes not just going to up and save the world everytime. He has his own issues to deal with.
I just want to know what type of format the season will be, does gwen head the team? Or maybe jack goes back in time. Who knows but i hope the BBC sees just how good Torchwood can be.
Re: wow this got long, im sorry.
Rumour exists of both a 4th series and of Jack in Dr. Who. Exactly when Jack (if that makes sense, time travellers do terrible things to one's grammar) is unknown.
