Football (sorry soccer) rambling

I was wandering through espn.com (damn that site's addictive, an official sports website that's well run, and looks good, will miracles never cease)

Anyway, they were doing one of their occasional polls, and one was about the New York or New Jersey whatever they ares in Major League Soccer (commonly refered to as the home of old footie players to knackered to play properly, but too stupid to do anything else).

Their old one was odd (apparently very similar to American football ones in style) but their new one is more traditionally football.

Very traditional, in that it's an almost direct copy of the AC Milan one. All the really old Italian clubs have very similar logos, but that's for historical reasons. You can't just appropriate they style and colours without reason.

It's sick and wrong. Next thing you know, the US will be getting further than Holland in a World Cup (LOL, yup it's already happened :) )

On the yahoo! Fantasy rotisserrie thing I am no longer in 12th and last, no, I am in 11th. This makes me far too happy.

(Added note- only found this out after I'd posted and didn't want to spam like crazy - I am also no longer 12th in the basketball rotiserrie either, no, I am also 11th in that :) )

Just got in from fireworks and funfair with the foreign exchange students. Lots of pretty fireworks, and accidently squished poor dutch guy. Have apologised, and may well spend rest of the week carrying on apologising.

Other than that, I got to see Dave, who rocks, but went to a different college. I miss Dave.
